Want to watch Blu-ray discs on your Windows 10 PC? DVDs are fairly simple to deal with on Windows 10, but what about Blu-ray? As known to all, Windows Media Center is no longer part of Windows 10. That means if you’ve traditionally used Windows media playback tools to enjoy your entertainment, you’re going to have to find another option. These Blu-ray discs are now the standard for HD video on the physical format, and as more and more of us use our PCs for home entertainment, it’s perfectly acceptable to want to play a Blu-ray on it.
Do I need a Blu-ray player software?
That’s a brilliant question. Here is the deal. If you have the disc, and you want to play it, you have two options. Blu-ray player or software or ripped content from the original source. If the content is already ripped, you can play it with any player, but to play with the external player, you need the software. Right now, we are going to talk about software which can do it for you. So insert the Blu-ray disc in your player, and use this software to play it.

Blu-ray player software for Windows 10
We always have seen software which lets consumers play formats which were never supported on Windows. The same applies to Windows 10, which is better compared to its previous version, with native support for MKV, and other formats.
1] VLC media player
VLC official site claims that the 2.0 and later version support Blu-ray media playback with some extra operations. So you’d better upgrade your VLC Media Player to the latest version if you are still using the old version. The following is the detailed guide to play Blu-ray disc with VLC on Windows computer.
Step 1. Download and the latest version of VLC media player from Videolan.org on your computer.
Step 2. Go to http://vlc-bluray.whoknowsmy.name/ to download the KEYS DATABASE(KEYDB.cfg) and AACS DYNAMIC LIBRARY (libaacs.dll for Windows or libaacs.dylib for Mac).
Please notice that you should download 32-bit files for 32-bit VLC, and 64-bit files for 64-bit VLC to install KEYS DATABASE by the path. And next, you’ll know how to install libaacs.dll.
Step 3. Go to the “C: Users\your username\AppData”.
Step 4. Enable viewing hidden files via “Under Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders > OK”.
Step 5. Create a new folder in the “AppData” with name aacs, and place the downloaded KEYDB.cfg key file in it.
Step 6. Download AACS DYNAMIC LIBRARY on your computer and install. Just go to “C: Program Files” or “c: Program Files (x86)” if running 64bit, and navigate to “Video LAN > VLC”, then paste or drag and drop libaacs.dll into it.
Step 7. Now, you can easily play Blu-ray disc with VLC on Windows for free. Please note that the latest VLC still doesn’t have Blu-ray menu support yet.
